Josef Alkatout was interviewed by the Swiss radio station RTS on the topic of child abduction during summer vacation.
He emphasized in particular that parents who abduct their children use the summer to travel to their home countries under the pretext of taking the child on vacation. An abduction during this particularly long vacation period is indeed the most opportune time for the parent in question, as it gives them time to settle in abroad and enroll the child in a new school.
