Josef Alkatout has authored a chapter on Swiss family law in the “International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG) 2025.”

This chapter offers in-depth insights into some of the most pressing issues in family law, including divorce, financial arrangements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation and the rights of unmarried couples, child support, parental responsibility and physical custody, as well as cross-border matters involving children.
The chapter is structured in a question-and-answer format and provides a comparative analysis of family law across 18 different legal systems, with identical questions facilitating an easy comparison of complex legal issues on a global scale.

This edition was published in collaboration with Miles Preston, with the carefully compiled questions developed by Marcus Dearle.
